Cocktail Class and MOBILE BAR Questions
Hola! Here are some answers to some of our most common questions.
Do you provide the alcohol?
To keep your experiences flexible, cost-effective and legal, alcohol is provided by the host.
Why don’t you include alcohol?
We’ve intentionally designed our classes and bartending packages to be simple, flexible, and cost-effective without compromising the experience. This way we can offer you:

Lower overall cost. The bottom line is you save money! There are no hidden markups and most groups spend only $50–$100 total on alcohol for classes.

Flexibility to choose your preferred brands and pricing

No waste. Any leftover bottles are yours to keep and enjoy after the events.
It also allows us to focus on what we do best: delivering a high-quality, fun, and seamless cocktail experiences.

Even though The Happy Hour Event Co. provides certified bartenders to serve your guests, we operate as a dry hire service. We do not supply or sell alcohol and legally we can not. Instead, we provide professional bartending service using the alcohol you have legally purchased under your permit or at your private event. All mobile bar companies operate this same way.
​​How long are the cocktail classes?
​The running time of the classes are flexible and we don't like to rush things. We understand you're there to socialize as well as learn and have fun. After all, it's a party not just a normal class. You can expect that we would be done in less than 3 hours. Typically:

2 cocktails: approximately 1.5 -2 hours

3 cocktails: approximately 2–2.5 hours
We would arrive 45-60 minutes ahead of time to set up. During this time you may want to plan for guests to be in a separate area, perhaps having snacks or chatting while we set up quickly.​
I don't have a big house, kitchen island or dining table. Now what?
No worries! We can talk with you about your space, and if needed we can bring extra folding tables and a portable bar to create working space for your guests.
​Do guests make their own drinks in classes?
Yes! This is a fully hands-on experience. Every guest will make and enjoy their own full-sized cocktails, following along step-by-step with guidance from our bartender.
Can you customize the cocktails?
Absolutely! We can tailor the menu to your preferences, theme, or event vibe.
Do you travel?
Yes! We are based out of the Kelowna area and travel is included in our class and bartending package prices. Travel fees may apply depending on location to West Kelowna, Lake Country, Vernon, Penticton and beyond.
What languages can you offer classes and services in?
We are happy to offer all of our experiences in English and/or Spanish, depending on the needs of your guests.
